Carmen Guevara Villalobos
DIRECTOR OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Carmen graduated from Smith College, Psychology and Statistical Sciences. She was born in the beautiful country of El Salvador and moved to Massachusetts at the age of sixteen. Carmen is a first generation college student who wants to achieve her professional goals, while helping others who also want to embark on the path of education. She is currently a victim advocate for the Berkshire DA Office in the Child Abuse and Human Trafficking Unit. The work that Carmen contributes to our community is of great importance and we are proud to have her as a mentor, friend and colleague.
Sheyla Cruz Zarate
ASSISTANT -COORDINATOR OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Sheyla is 18, originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. She graduated from Monument Mountain Regional High School, Class of 2023. She is currently focused on obtaining her cosmetology license and plans to open her own salon. She aims to continue her studies in Psychology at BCC. Sheyla is the recipient of the Latina Rising Star recognition & the Latinas413 Scholarship 2023.
