A community where Latinas are integrated and represented in the fabric of Berkshire County.
Values
Our mission as an inclusive, not-for-profit community workshops is to advance the learning, & practice. To realize our vision and fulfill our mission, Latinas413 has adopted five pillars of growth for the three years:
Mentoring- Provide guidance to highlight the talents of Latina women accompanied by mentors who support their progress. Strengthen our educational impact through life-long learning
Diversity- By committing to educating ourselves and sharing it with others to promote intercultural understanding and celebrate the different cultures represented in our local, national, and international communities.
Community -Honor everyone’s voice & encourage active participation. Expand, deepen and nurture our creative community
Leadership - Through the empowerment of our community. Promoting strategies that motivate our community to break barriers. Support our innovation-driven entrepreneurial ventures.
Inclusive - Make our commitment to inclusion and equity real through action. We actively oppose all forms of discrimination or racism.
The challenge
Our community does not benefit from the vast talents and assets of Latinas living and working in Berkshire county. Latinas are often isolated, lacking a sense of belonging, preventing their full participation and representation at important spaces across the county.
Goals
Connect Latinas to valuable Berkshire county resources including community initiatives, cultural institutions, and the rich outdoor spaces that surround us.
Connect Latinas to Mentors that help them increase their confidence, connect to valuable professional development opportunities, Jobs and increase their social capital.
Connect Latinas to financial planning education,
where they increase their financial literacy, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to manage their money more effectively.
Latinas413 focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where Latinas feel valued, celebrated, and empowered.
Encourage collaboration, open dialogue, and the sharing of experiences to foster a sense of unity and representation among Latinas in the community.
MENTORSHIP
LatinX Mentors empower mentees by promoting personal and professional growth. By providing a supportive community, we are helping to create a brighter future for Latina women and their families.
OUTDOORS
Promoting the benefits of outdoor activities, our organization aims to raise awareness and interest in outdoor recreation among Latino communities.
We are connecting the community through outdoor experiences, to build confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
FINANCES
Financial planning resource guides developed for Latinas.
Connection to financial institutions with initiatives that benefit our community
Networking workshops with LatinX successful entrepreneurs.
Latinas413 amplifies Latinas voices and shares their experiences, we help to create a stronger sense of integration and representation.
Mentors make a difference in our youth. Latinas413 mentors provide guidance, support, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. By fostering mentorship and leadership, we can help Latinas to gain visibility and ensure they are represented in various spheres.
Intentionally, Latinas413 utilizes social media and online platforms to highlight the achievements and stories of Latinas in our community.
